Design work on: Christian Mechanism
I’ve been working on something I call “Christian Mechanism”. At first I was thinking of turning my 30,000 or so words I’ve written and mostly not published into a book, but now I’m considering it should be a magazine like Palladium Magazine? I could collect writings that examine religion and science in concert. But I can imagine branching out into other religions. In fact, I’ve recently been doing so.
Some other names I’m considering calling it “Religious Mechanism”. Or maybe I should create a little magazine for people in my IndieThinkers cohort and call it something like “Abstracts”, which would then be about publishing ideas when they’re just in the “abstract” stage. They’re unsubstantiated claims that can be researched, but may only be at the larval stage.
Ultimately, I want to compile the work and thinking I’ve done in the last few years and turn it into something physical, throw a dinner party / bbq, and see if I can get interest for the release of a second magazine issue, book, or whatever.
Why the weird wedding aesthetic?
I want to combine the religious with the scientific, the new with the old, and in general, complete opposites. I want to marry ideas. My thesis is that marriage and love is at the heart of civilization. We should look at ourselves as the bride of Christ.
